This set of two rare vintage 1950's Hollywood Regency design highball tumbler glasses is an incredibly special and unique set to add to your barware collection. Beautiful Turquoise, Green and Gold Color. Mid-century Hollywood Regency highball cocktail glasses decorated with 22-karat gold leaf designs. For barware collectors this one of a kind glassware set is the choice for your next dinner party or give as a gift to your favorite host. Serve your favorite cocktails in these fine barware. These glasses come in a set of 2, making them perfect for gatherings with friends and family. These are a beautiful and unique set featuring a purely luxurious design with vibrant gold, green and blue design. These are from the 1950's, making them a true mid-century gem. Set upon your gold bar cart or on display in a cabinets . Size: 5.75" tall x 2.75" mouth opening diameter. Good vintage condition. Clean, without chips or cracks. Some light loss of gilt, but very good, age appropriate wear. See photos for details. These are from the 1960s and must be hand washed. They are not dishwasher safe. Each glass is signed Georges Briard. History of Georges Briard: Jakub Brojdo was born in the Ukraine and raised in Poland. He changed his name to Jascha (Yascha) Brojdo when he moved to Chicago in 1937 to study at the Art Institute of Chicago, where he earned his MFA. After serving in the U.S. Army throughout World War II he moved to New York and began painting metal serving trays signing them Brodjo. (quite a nice find for a collector). He was hired by his friend Max Wille, to create designs for the M. Wille Company, who came up with the name Georges Briard to mark commercial pieces. Brodjo was also a painter and would use his real name on his art pieces. As Georges Briard, Brodjo became an American award-winning designer, his designs stocked at high end department stores, such as Neiman Marcus and Bonwit Teller. Georges Briard designs became hugely popular throughout the 1950s to 70s, so it is prominent through many eras, but is most notable for the Mid Century Modern, Atomic & later 70s Kitsch...

Hand thrown porcelain white glazed vase with 24K fire gilt accents. North America, 21st C Chase Gamblin Chase Gamblin is an artist primarily working in ceramics. Currently, he is an Academic Specialist and Studio Coordinator for the Ceramics Department at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. Gamblin received his BFA in Ceramics at the Appalachian Center for Craft in Smithville, TN in 2007. He then studied and received his MFA in Ceramics at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. Gamblin traveled nationally and internationally for residencies in Vicchio, Italy (2008), Sanbao, China (2009 and 2012) and University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND (2010-2011), where he also taught as a ceramics visiting lecturer. He also taught at Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN as an adjunct professor while building and putting in place the ceramics program.
