Plate Number: 4 (series of 12) Title: Aladin in the Enchanted Garden Hardware: Fixed, hanging. Aladdin and the Magic Lamp series was designed in the 60s by the Danish artist and chief designer of Rosenthal, Björn Wiinblad. Connoisseurs of Wiinblad's work know that this great artist worked in various industries and fields in the 20th century and had his works in renowned museums such as the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the National Museum in Sweden, were collected from the Moderna Museet in Copenhagen and today have a high collector's value. Rosenthal is a German company that is well-known for its production of high-quality porcelain and other luxury goods. The company has a long history, dating back to the late 19th century, and it has collaborated with various artists and designers over the years to create unique and artistic pieces. This Bjorn Wiinblad Vintage Danish Modern Rosenthal porcelain " Aladdin " collector's decorative plate is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection. The porcelain collector's decorative wall plate is made by Rosenthal Studio Line, Germany from 1976 - 1982. Made of fine porcelain, the round decorative plate features a beautiful multicolor design of Aladdin with special metallic gold details. It is signed in the plate lower front and has an attached hanger on the reverse back side for easy wall installation. Characteristics of Wiinblad's work include whimsical round faced people, dressed vaguely in 19th Century costume. They are often surrounded by natural elements : twining vines, floral wreathes, and fantastical trees. When Wiinblad employed color, he did so with great assurance. His color palette is saturated and strong, often accented with metallic gold or silver. Bjørn Wiinblad was a Danish painter, designer, and artist known for his distinctive and whimsical style. He gained international recognition for his work, which often featured imaginative and decorative elements. Wiinblad was active from the mid-20th century until his passing in 2006. Collapsed Triptych in Sand, porcelain & plaster wall artwork by Olivia Walker

By Olivia Walker

Located in London, GB

'Collapsed Triptych in Sand' is a unique wall-mounted sculptural artwork by the British artist, Olivia Walker. It has been created from coloured porcelain, tadelakt plaster and resin. The dimensions above are for the three panels. Walker works in porcelain to create pieces that explore ideas of growth and decay through the construction and layering of complex surfaces. All of her pieces start by being thrown on the wheel, before being built upon with thousands of individually applied fragments of porcelain. Many of her pieces are thrown and altered, often being cut away and reassembled in the leather-hard stage which allows her to deconstruct the form creating new surfaces on which to continue adding her porcelain layers. Starting from a set point on a piece, Walker lets these organic accretions spread out and grow, almost eating through, or growing over the form beneath and covering it. Walker makes reference to organisms such as fungus, corals, and bacteria but her pieces are her own interpretation, letting the viewer bring their own ideas and emotions to her pieces. Walker studied at Farnham in 2014 where she completed her MA in Contemporary Craft, specialising in Ceramics. An apprenticeship with the highly revered potter and writer, Julian Stair...

Art Nouveau Portrait of a Red-Haired Beauty, Elite Works Porcelain Plaque

Located in Nottingham, GB

An exquisite hand-painted porcelain plaque depicting the profile portrait of a Belle Époque beauty, finely executed and signed by the artist, L. Daniel. Produced by Elite Works, this captivating composition embodies the romantic sophistication and refined femininity that defined the Art Nouveau era. The sitter is portrayed in graceful profile, her flowing auburn hair dissolving into a rich, atmospheric background of warm umber tones. Her porcelain complexion, softly blushed cheeks, and delicately rendered features are complemented by a translucent lavender drapery that gently falls from her shoulders, lending the composition an ethereal and dreamlike quality. The artist's masterful use of subtle shading and luminous colour gradations creates a remarkable sense of softness and depth. Beautifully presented within a gilt frame and complementary mount, the plaque possesses an understated elegance that allows the portrait to command attention. The reverse bears the distinctive Elite Works factory mark, further enhancing its authenticity and desirability among collectors of fine European porcelain and decorative arts. Rare Dutch Church Interior Rozenburg Porcelain Tile Painting After J. Bosboom
Rare Dutch Church Interior Rozenburg Porcelain Tile Painting After J. Bosboom

Rare Dutch Church Interior Rozenburg Porcelain Tile Painting After J. Bosboom

By Rozenburg Porcelain

Located in Lisse, NL

Beautiful large tile painting of a Gothic church interior by W.B. van Horssen (1863-1931). We very recently purchased a small collection of very rare antique plaques, tiles and vases by some of the best known maker's in the history of Dutch ceramics. This unique, hand-crafted and hand-painted work of art is the first one of that collection and this stunning and rare, single tiles plaque is in its original wooden frame. Because of their contrasting colors, the frame and tile painting go together really well. And these are in fact two works of art, because both the stunningly hand-painted tile and the wooden frame are as good as they come. With the borders of the frame coming as far outward as they do and the Gothic church interior that is drawing your attention deep into the back of the church, they really complement each other. However beautiful the frame is, this antique ofcourse is about the painting and this particular painting is by one of Rozenburg's finest (Wijnand Bastiaan van Horssen) who has perfectly managed to enhance the depth that is already in this composition, thus creating a visual effect that is an absolute joy to look at. By the way, the price that you see on the 'sticker' that the former owner put on the back after he had purchased this piece was put there in the 'old days' when we still had the Dutch guilder. The original painting of the Nieuwe Kerk in the Hague Holland (built in circa 1650) was by J. Bosboom. Besides one small old crack and a few minor imperfections to the frame, this unique and wonderful work of art is in very good condition still and may it grace the home or chapel of a Gothic style enthousiast soon. Mind you, because of their relative fragility very few of these amazing and high value works of art are still around. Rozenburg of the Hague, where this unique tile painting was created, was always one of the greats in Dutch ceramics and many of their works grace museums all over Europe. Rozenburg’s shareholders included the likes of the marine painter H.W. Mesdag (1831-1915) and the poet and literary critic Carel Vosmaer (1826-1888), and its tile painters numbered rising artists like Willem de Zwart...
