A large, rare and important etching with superb detail and unusual subject matter, this view of three nude male archers, one drawing his bow, another supplying the arrows, and another reclining and watching the arrows fly, was made by Erich Wolfsfeld in 1910. The etching, which captures the musculature and other details of each figure with remarkable texture and faithfulness, won a gold medal in Berlin, a few years after Wolfsfeld moved back to Germany after studying in Italy.
