Glass Wood Brass Fireplace Fender Style Large Square Coffee Table Erwin Lambeth
By Erwin Lambeth
Located in Topeka, KS
Handsome fireplace fender style brass plated aluminum, glass, and wood large square coffee table attributed to Erwin Lambeth. It is in fabulous vintage condition. There are a few small scratches on the brass plating and a few nicks in the wood frame as you would expect with its age. But it has a brand-new piece of glass. Please see photos, circa 1960s-1970s. We are in love with this gorgeous coffee table! This is the second time we have run across one of these and the moment I saw it I knew we needed another to be able to offer it to you. Although unmarked, we have been able through online research to be very sure of its Erwin Lambeth attribution. It is comprised of a square brass-plated aluminum base which looks like a fireplace fender with aluminum spindles and turned knob detail. It is mounted on a plinth base and is topped by a thick wood edged frame with a glass insert. Outstanding! It is the perfect center of attention as a coffee table should be. Large enough to display an interesting centerpiece or object d’art, along with coffee table books galore, and still room for setting a cocktail or cup of coffee. It will work beautifully with a Hollywood Regency, Campaign, or Traditionally designed space. As well as in a formal living room or a more casual family room. Erwin Lambeth was a prestigious furniture company based in Thomasville, North Carolina. Erwin Lambeth, originally a family run business, was started in 1901 as Standard Chair Company...

Gorgeous condition with wear as you would expect with a vintage piece but no outstanding flaws that we have detected. A small repair was made in the veneer and is unnoticeable. Please see photos. Circa 20TH Century. MARAVILLOSO!!!! This art deco style entry desk or bar was made by IMS S.A. in Bogota, Colombia and is functional, versatile, and unusually unique. It is comprised of two separate pieces. Both are solid mahogany. The base has a gorgeous Greek Key design on one side and it’s plain on the other so you can change the look to be decorative or more transparent. The countertop is a flip open design with brass ring pulls and brass hinges that open to a large storage area for supplies of your choice. There are two large drawers on each lower side and two smaller drawers above the countertop lined with laminate inside and mahogany veneer. Because it is counter height, it would be perfect as a walk-up bar. Or use it as an entry desk in your home. It would also make an awesome check in counter at a restaurant, check out space at a boutique or nail...

Mid-Century Modern Chaise or Day Bed in Coral Vinyl Faux Leather Aluminum Legs
Located in Topeka, KS
Handsome Mid-Century Modern coral vinyl faux leather and aluminum leg chaise lounge or day bed. It is in good vintage condition. The beautiful original coral colored vinyl has many nicks, holes, dings, and tears. But we have repaired a few and if you do not need perfection you could get by using this great colored upholstery. One large repair is in the middle of the head pad. Please see photos. However, we know most will want to reupholster, so it is priced accordingly. Circa mid-20th century. I am looking into the future and I can just imagine you lounging upon this lovely chaise while sipping a cocktail from your mid-century modern bar cart! Or maybe that’s me? No. I think it is you. Well I assume that means you are going to make this fabulous piece yours. It is comprised of four-square tubular brushed aluminum legs which hold it to padded chaise lounge body. It is currently wearing its original gorgeous coral colored vinyl faux leather with nail head detail. Unfortunately, this covering has seen lots of use and you will most likely want to recover. However, we have repaired a few of the boo boos and if you can live with them for a bit you could enjoy this luscious color for a while. It will be fabulous in your mid-century modern home or industrial loft no matter where it is used. We did not find any tags or maker’s name and do not know exactly how this piece started its life. But we can visualize it learning lots of secrets in a psychiatrist office or offering a seat to young starlets in the director’s office. Whatever secrets it holds we know you are smitten as we are. Make it yours! Chair size: • Height at head 26 inches • Height at foot 21 inches • O/A length 73 inches • Length of seating area 42...

Mr. Peabody served as Director of Le Centre D’Art. He incorporated Haitian art in his designs and helped bring a collection of one-of-a-kind furniture made by Haitian craftsmen to the United States. There is a slight sun fading to the fabric that cannot be detected unless you remove the cushions, and we did some slight touch up to the legs. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1970’s. Are oranges named oranges because oranges are orange OR is orange called orange because oranges are orange??? Hmmmmmmm???? We may never know… BUT we DO know that this pair of orange club chairs by Harvey Probber is PHENOMENAL!!! Double your seating pleasure with this dynamic duo comprised of fully upholstered tuxedo style frames, deep seats hosting loose zippered foam filled seat and back cushions, fabulous black painted sleigh bases, PLUS they are wearing their original orange large weave hopsacking fabric. WOW!! They are stunning in their simplicity, extremely comfortable, and ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! They will be fabulous in the corner of your bedroom, in the living room across from your sofa, in the sitting room with a wonderful accent table in between, or in the den facing the fireplace. They are mid-century modern with a modern feel and will blend in beautifully with many styles of décor. This pair of club chairs is ready to be your new favorite vintage pieces and make a bold statement in any room you choose! Harvey Probber was born on September 17, 1922, in Brooklyn, New York. He began his love for furniture early and while attending high school he took a part-time job in a used furniture store and was inspired to try his hand at drawing ideas for furniture. Probber sold his first sofa design when he was just 16, for $10. After high school graduation, he accepted a job as designer for Trade Upholstery which was a small manufacturing facility. The 1940’s was the beginning of American modernism, a time characterized by young designers with talent, initiative, and a willingness to take risks with new ideas. Probber was one of an early band of pioneer designers in a field that included iconic names such as D.J. DePree of Herman Miller, Hans Knoll, Georg Tanier, and Jack Lenor Larsen. Probber established Harvey Probber, Inc., in 1945 and in the mid years of the twentieth century, Harvey Probber became one of America's leading designers. He favored exotic woods, highly polished lacquer, hand-rubbed finishes, and extravagant upholstery fabrics. In little over a decade, Harvey Probber, Inc. became one of the country’s leading contemporary furniture firms. His most significant design breakthrough was his modular seating concept. It was the first of its kind. He also introduced the “sling chair” and “nuclear furniture” which could be clustered and had interchangeable pieces. By the 1970s, Harvey Probber, Inc. had opened trade showrooms in major design centers across the country. His work was awarded two "Best of Neocon" Gold Awards from the Resources Council of the Institute of Business Designers for the Houston Chair...

Vintage Donghia Yellow Stripe Spirit Sofa by John Hutton
By John Hutton, Donghia
Located in Topeka, KS
Incredible spirit sofa by John Hutton for Donghia. This one is in its original yellow striped fabric and fabulous condition, circa 1990s. The dust cover has been replaced. This sofa is simply wonderful! It was designed by John Hutton for the prestigious Donghia Furniture, a to-the-trade only supplier to interior designers and architects. This sofa, named Spirit, and part of the Enchanted collection was inspired by the ghostly shapes of furniture draped in sheets in homes during extended periods of being uninhabited. John Hutton’s furniture designs are at the same time Classic and modernistic especially depending upon the fabric chosen to “clothe” them. This sofa takes on a more Classic feel with the yellow, army green and cream traditional stripe adorning its modernistic and angular share. I’m sure you are drooling over this sofa right now. We also have the companion chaise longue listed on our storefront as well. I know you...

Organic Modern Custom Dining or Conference Table Natural Walnut Top Black Base
Located in Topeka, KS
Magnificent Early 21st Century Organic Modern custom built conference or dining table with a natural walnut top & black powder coated steel tube base with walnut insert by Matthew Jarmer. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Early 21st Century. Is there anything as wondrous as being Au Naturel??? When it comes to something as ravishing as this natural walnut table… we think NOT!!! That’s right, this is an enchanting natural walnut conference or dining table with a handsome black powder coated steel tube base featuring a center walnut panel bearing a hint of a Brutalist design with graduating stacked horizontal cut outs, custom made in Lawrence, Kansas by woodworking artist Matthew Jarmer. The base insets and the rectangular top were crafted from locally sourced wood from Topeka, Kansas. Good ‘Ol T-Town!!! Check out that magnificent wood grain!!! It’s simply marvelous!!! The table edges are “semi natural” as there has been some sanding but it’s not completely smooth, some of the uneven natural knotty tones of the wood come through. The center of the table exhibits a unique feature utilizing a beautiful natural split which created an opening that only Mother Nature (and maybe some hand crafted mastery from Mr. Jarmer!) could design. It is convenient for phone and other device cords if you are using it as a conference or worktable, but it would also serve as an INCREDIBLE dining table!! Talk about a BOLD statement piece!! And if you’re in need of chairs, we have several styles that would accompany this beauty handsomely listed here for sale… check them out!! Matthew Jarmer is a Lawrence, Kansas based woodworker and artist with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Kansas State University. GO K STATE!! He works from the East Side Workshop, located in Lawrence, KS. He creates furnishings, art, and other custom pieces using locally resourced wood mingled with his traditional techniques and a touch of modern style. His work and information is available to view online. As Dorothy famously stated in the Wizard of Oz… “There’s no place like home!” That’s a fact! Especially if you are lucky enough to have a work or dining table as incredible as this custom built natural walnut & steel tube base table...

And these white milk glass & aluminum monumental cylinder pendant lights by Visa are nothing short of that… Totally EXTRAORDINARY!!! And let me tell you… SIZE MATTERS FOLKS!!! And the glass body ALONE on one is 30 inches tall… 35.25 inches rim to rim… 43 inches to the top of the cone and it’s 14 inches in diameter!! HOLY MOLY!!! They are LARGE and in CHARGE!!! We have 4 of these fabulous, hardwired pendant lights that we are selling separately. They are comprised of an incredible milk glass cylinder shade, a marvelous spun aluminum base, top rim (or flange), and a wonderful cone shaped finial. Inside the cylinder is a metal dowl rod with a lamp holder featuring 6 sockets with bulbs… 3 facing up and 3 facing down. And if you follow that rod down even lower, there is yet another single down facing light. And all this MAGNIFICENCE hangs from a fabulous spun aluminum canopy and handsome metal hanging chain. Fun Fact!!! Visa Lighting has a cool little video on U-Tube discussing their products and history and these EXACT light fixtures make a quick appearance in the video photographed with a red background behind the lights, you should check it out!! They’re kind of FAMOUS!! We can just see a series of three or all four hanging over your dining table, kitchen island, or indoor bar. And though they are Art Deco Revival in style, they will also blend in beautifully with your Hollywood Regency, Mid-Century Modern, Modern, and other décor styles. A single light would be stunning in a tall, narrow entryway, stairwell, or hallway or a sequence of three or four in your Great room hanging from the tall, vaulted ceilings. They would also be beautiful in a bedroom, in your study, or in the living room. Endless incredible possibilities. Visa lighting has a long and rich history beginning back in 1919 as the Mo Bridges Lighting Company. About ten years later there was a company split, and they went from Mo Bridges to Mo Brothers Manufacturing. Well known for their ornate, hand-crafted light fixtures and chandeliers.
