How did Worth get his start in the fashion industry?
Worth got his start in the fashion industry by working in entry-level positions. As a young man, he lived in London, England, and was first an apprentice and then a clerk for textile merchants. In 1845, he moved to Paris, France, where he would eventually establish his own firm, the House of Worth. Find vintage House of Worth clothing for sale on 1stDibs.
