Who are the famous painted horses?
1 Answer

The names of the horses in most paintings are unknown, but a few famous horses do stand out in the equestrian art produced over the centuries. Andy Warhol depicted Silky Sullivan and jockey Bill Shoemaker in 1978, and George Stubbs created a painting of Whistlejacket, a horse owned by Charles Watson-Wentwort, the second Marquess of Rockingham, in 1762.
