Having a piece of metal wall art can be the rustic factor that sets your interior apart.
In this artwork, the raw look is abrupted by a stripe of canvas, a detail that bridges and connects the patinated rawness of the natural material and contemporary culture. The Danish artist Anette Holmberg finds her inspiration in Nordic simplicity, textural contrasts, and patinated metals.
The artwork is originally intended to hang horizontally, but in our latest exhibit we hung it vertically due to practicalities. The artwork carries it original frame in matte polished and untreated aluminium. The framed dimension (horizontally) is 52cm (H) x 72cm (W) / 20,4in (H) x 28,3in (W). The painting is signed and dated in verso.
Anette Holmberg (1969-) is a visual artist from Denmark (Scandinavia) with a master's degree in art education specializing in art and aesthetic theory. Her subtle textured paintings and collages of metal are inspired by the interplay of different tactile effects of materials, as well as the simplicity of the Scandinavian/Nordic light and environment.
