About the Item

Mixed Media on panel. Artist Statement: "I am a self-taught artist who utilizes an experimental approach. I let the experience of creating guide me. I often have no clear vision of how the finished piece will present itself. I use mixed media techniques to bring together my love of photography, painting, and the thrill of finding new ways to use overlooked materials. I use my life experiences as inspiration for my work. Influences from my childhood in middle-class suburbia can be seen in much of my work, as the playful colors and characters often mask the deeper conflict. I spent much of my adult life serving in the US ARMY with multiple combat deployments working with Special Operations. After being honorably discharged, I transitioned to private military contracting where I performed security for government officials, high ranking military officers, and diplomats from around the world. Art was and is still my outlet for processing all of the events, experiences, and cultures I have seen. Color, light, and texture intermingle within each of my pieces to create depth and tell a story. My work is designed to be a conversation starter, particularly for those topics that seem difficult to put into words."

Money Lending Business – Shotgun Shell Art Lock Stock Guy Ritchie Portrait
Located in Manchester, GB
Jasper Leadbeater, Money Lending Business, 2025 Upcycled shotgun shells and spraypaint 58 x 70 cm (22.8 x 27.56 in) Edition of 6 Jasper is completely self taught. Having started his journey with a background in fine art and a passion for drawing, years of pencil commissions soon followed and became the foundations of what was to come. Curiosity led him to experiment with shotgun shells and he created the Ho Chi Minh piece in 2014, under the theme of 'War and Peace'. Having refined this unique medium over the years, immersion in the countryside gave inspiration to his first collection of works; combining the traditional country sport of shooting game with a contemporary approach to animal portraiture, creating original pieces using intricately hand-drawn and hand-cut stencils with spray paint. Progress and experimentation has led Jasper to focus his recent works on pop culture references and cinematic icons. A gritty, show-stopping portrait of Vinnie Jones, inspired by his iconic role in Guy Ritchie’s cult classic Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Constructed from upcycled shotgun shell casings, this powerful mixed media piece fuses urban art with industrial materials, capturing the raw energy and bravado of British gangster cinema. The golden brass shell backdrop contrasts sharply with the black-and-white figure, echoing the stylized tension of 1990s crime films. More than just a portrait, Vinnie is a tribute to the explosive visual style made famous by Guy Ritchie, and a clever reuse of materials once associated with violence, now transformed into fine art. Professionally framed in a brushed metallic frame, this original artwork is perfect for collectors of urban art, contemporary mixed media, or fans of British film legends. Have You Seen This Person
By Casey McGlynn
Located in Bozeman, MT
This is a very active and textured painting in a vertical composition. There are multiples collages on a blue background. The main focus is a person in red holding a a black star, along with other figures and lit up homes. Paint also drips down that canvas. At the bottom of the painting is a grey Saturn. To see more images of this piece, please message us. Casey McGlynn grew up in rural Ontario, where he would sit in front of the television and draw on old grocery bags and scrap paper tirelessly, creating self-taught surrealist pop art. McGlynn attended the Ontario College of Art and Design, however, he was not enrolled in the visual arts. McGlynn’s work contains reoccurring symbols such as animals from his upbringing, birds from his studio window sill and numbers that derive from when he memorized math tables in his early years. McGlynn’s work is as much about revealing the truth and expressing emotions as it is about documenting actual fact. His paintings reach into a wealth of historical influence and skill. Creating symphonic glyphs on rudimentary, raw quilt-like patterns, the works simultaneously evoke rural Southern quilts...
