About the Item
Artist Comments
Figures walk along a shadowy path, blending into the dark background. Above, a supermoon watches over the scene. A worn ticket strip runs horizontally across the middle, while an old watch rests on driftwood in the corner. Inspired by memories of late evenings on the Jersey Shore, the artwork captures the romance of summer nights by the sea and the fleeting passage of time. Among other things, artist Libby Ramage used charcoal, acrylic paint, handmade paper, and a clock face to create this piece.
About the Artist
Libby Ramage infuses a playful and whimsical mood into her works. In fact, she credits the children she works with for greatly influencing her aesthetic. She often uses children’s abandoned work in her collages. Libby currently lives in New Jersey and finds inspiration in the work of Rauschenberg. She believes collectors should buy from the heart.

Artist Darlene McElroy displays a contemporary portrait of a woman with her hair flowing in the wind. Bold patterns in vibrant colors establish her dynamic silhouette. "The winds of life moved her to new places and new experiences full of secrets," reveals Darlene. The unconventional materials create a sculptural and dimensional aspect.
About the Artist
Darlene McElroy sees creating art as similar to reading Turkish coffee grounds. A story becomes revealed as one looks at the surface, texture and color. Her works use a variety of materials ranging from acrylic paints to photo transfers and collage. She currently lives in New Mexico and has been greatly influenced by the work of Robert Rauschenberg. She encourages viewers to search for their narrative interpretation when viewing a work.
