About the Item
This is a one of a kind original mixed media skyscape painting by southern California artist Stefaine Bales. Its size is 8" x 8" x 0.75". It is unframed. A certificate of authenticity will follow delivery.
Stefanie Bales is a San Diego-based contemporary, Fine Art painter and muralist. She earned a B.F.A in Studio Arts and an M.S. in Educational Counseling with a focus on Art Therapy applications with neuro-diverse populations. Stefanie taught at a local design college for over 10 years prior to opening her gallery + storefront, Stefanie Bales Fine Art, in the heart of Little Italy. SBFA was recently awarded “Best Art Gallery” by both Modern Luxury, and the San Diego Reader.
Stefanie’s gallery work is inspired by the interaction of light and landscape, as evident in her whimsical typologies and soft, feminine palettes. Her mural work spans across genres and processes, but still maintains the overtly warm, feminine, dream-like identity of her Fine Artwork.
Stefanie’s client list includes the City of San Diego, The Balboa Park Conservancy, The San Diego Museum of Art, Ansun BioPharma, The Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, One Paseo, and The Flower Hill Promenade. Her work has been published extensively and is in both public and private collections across the country and internationally.
Stefanie is the wife of local Architect Scott Bales, and mother of two boys- Weston- 7, and Rowan- 1, who are her greatest works of art.

View AllImpressionistic Cityscape Acrylic Painting, "Golden Skies No. 39"
Located in San Diego, CA
This is a one-of-a-kind original acrylic and gold leaf still life painting by San Diego artist, Duke Windsor. Its dimensions are 18"x36"x1.5". It is unframed. A certificate of authenticity will follow delivery.
Windsor’s success as a contemporary artist lies in his ability to infuse ordinary subject matter with his own ingenuity. Windsor’s wealth of occupations and personal drive have shaped the foundation of his creative spirit. Through observation of the traditional American Way, Windsor finds his most powerful subject matter. The gold in his contemporary icons elicit consideration for reverence, love, compassion, and courage in our world.
Gold leaf is the color of extravagance, wealth, riches, and excess which exerts a hypnotic attraction and evokes a very celestial, reverent feeling towards the serenity of the subject.
"The Golden Skies series came about after several years of experimenting with new ways to create my urban/rural cityscape scenes in a fresh way. I was inspired to utilize gold leaf after seeing the biopic film, Klimt. In the movie, Klimt (John Malkovich) is working the “Adele Bloch-Bauer” portrait, and in the scene, he was applying gold leaf on the painting. Later while visiting the Timken Museum in Balboa Park, I viewed the collection of Russian Icons on wood...
