This classic Nappi painting was first published as the cover for Backwoods Hussy by Hallam Whitney (PBO, Original books #723 (1952): Passion and hate in the Florida scrub country! It was also used as the cover painting for the reprinted edition, Star Novel #762 (1956), published under the same title with only a minor change to the cover blurb: Passion and desire in the Florida scrub country!
