About the Item
I was inspired to create this piece after visiting the Fontainebleau Forest near Paris, the home of the Barbizon painters, forerunners of the Impressionists. This mysterious forest with its strange rock formations was once the hunting grounds of kngs and includes a palace which was the residence of Napoleon.
