About the Item

Archival Pigment print on Hahnemuhle museum etching paper edition 11 of 250 printed signature on archival label on verso 30.48 x 30.48 cm Published by Exhibtion A and comes with publisher's COA. Ginny Casey is a contemporary American painter known for her surreal, playful, and slightly eerie still-life compositions. Her work often features exaggerated, organic shapes and distorted objects that seem to hover between abstraction and representation. Inspired by the history of painting and a fascination with the subconscious, Casey creates dreamlike scenes filled with unusual forms, evoking a sense of mystery and curiosity. Her use of bold, muted colors and thick, expressive brushstrokes adds a tactile quality to her paintings. With influences from Surrealism and early 20th-century modernism, Casey’s work explores themes of transformation, domesticity, and the strange beauty of the everyday. Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries across the United States, gaining recognition for their unique fusion of whimsy and unease.
