Wilkinson has enjoyed a lifelong love of animals which is now expressing itself in her sculpture. Working as a docent at the Houston Zoo, educating children about animals and conservation, provides her with inspiration and opportunities to observe animals. Animals often display the uninhibited playfulness of children and she tries to capture that in her work. She received her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Oklahoma State University and served as a docent at the Houston Zoo for four years. She studied sculpture at The Glassell School of Art, Houston, the Fechin Institute and Scottsdale Artists School and naturally found that her love of sculpting combined with her love of animals became the focus of her work. Wilkinson has received numerous commissions to create likenesses of beloved animals and her work is widely collected by animal lovers across the country.

Fox Hound After the Hunt, Bronze Sculpture by Charles Rumsey
By Charles Rumsey
Located in Brookville, NY
CHARLES CARY RUMSEY, born in Buffalo, NY in 1879. His interest in sculpture appeared and was encouraged at an early age. The most significant encouragement came when the boy was taken by his parents to Paris in 1893.
After graduating from Harvard in 1902, Rumsey returned to Paris where he took a studio in the Latin Quarter and enrolled and the Julian and Colarossi Academies. One professor, Emmanuel Fremiet, a specialist in equestrian statuary, devoted special emphasis to the study of the horse, and his training was to have a decisive influence on the young Rumsey. Apart from sculpture, horses were the great passion of his life. He was an excellent horseman and an 8 goal polo player with Meadowbrook Polo Club Long Island NY.
Rumsey’s specialties included equestrian sculptures – portraits of polo players and prize horses, as well as of cowboys, cattle and horses as metaphors. He worked principally in bronze and stone, often employing mythology and historical themes articulated in private commissions for freestanding statuary and in public monuments. His 40-foot bas relief panels of Indians, horses and buffalos for the Manhattan Bridge and the heroic subject matter of Rice Stadium commission are examples.

Signed, Bronze Sculpture of Resting Dog
By Georges Lucien Guyot
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Sensitively rendered, hand-cast, signed bronze sculpture of a resting dog on a naturalistic base of the same by listed French artist, Georges Lucien-Guyot (1885-1973). The animal is relaxed with head on crossed paws- a familiar and charming pose.
Born to a modest family, Guyot lacked the funds for a formal education but was apprenticed to a woodcarver and gained valuable technical expertise through copying religious works from the 15th century. Turning his sights to the natural world, he frequently drew animals and plants in the Jardin des Plantes, transferring his studies to sculptures in the studio. A famous figure of the Montmartre disttrict of Paris, Guyot was the host of the famed artist salon building, the Bateau-Lavoir from the time of Cubism. In 1931, he joined the group of the Twelve, created by François Pompon and Jane Poupelet...
