Living in Loveland, Colorado Colorado sculptor George Walbye is a product of the Rocky Mountain West, having spent his entire life in the states of Wyoming and Colorado. Born in Rawlins, Wyoming, Walbye lived his early years in that high plains sagebrush country. He spent a number of boyhood summers working on ranches in the area once homesteaded by his grandfather at Whiskey Gap. Following careers in education and sales, Walbye moved into the world of art as a sculptor, using the classical “lost wax” method, which transposes his original works from wax into bronze. Now in his second decade as a fine artist, this self-taught sculptor focuses on both the legendary and contemporary west. Walbye has exhibited his bronzes in numerous shows and exhibitions, and his work is in private collections throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. He is an organizer and a top seller in the “Sculpture in the Park” annual show and sale in Loveland, Colorado. Walbye’s sculpture includes vessels with strong design elements and innovative representations of wildlife. He also depicts Indians, cowboys, mountain men and women of the Rocky Mountains and high plains, places where he feels at home.

Bronze, Artist Proof.
Sharon Loper creates transitory sculptures out of bronze, stone, and wood and views her work as landscapes of thought based on organic principles.
As a classically educated, third-generation Rodin sculptor, Loper’s work is elongated and expressive. She seeks to sculpt an emotional experience rather than a physical reality.
An award-winning sculptor, photographer, and printmaker, Sharon Loper developed her sculptural practice through two decades of study, both at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles and in private studio practice. At Otis, she worked with and learned from artists such as Charles White, Joseph Mugnaini...
