Georgian Mahogany Circular Wine Table
Located in Bedfordshire, GB
A Very Good Quality Late 18th Century, George III Period, Mahogany Wine Table, Having Well Figured Circular Tilting Top Retaining Untouched Colour And Patina With Strung Decoration, Over Elegant Baluster Turned Column With Umbrella Tripod Legs.
A simple, elegant and beautiful little table, which is also incredibly functional, this is of relatively typical design for the late 18th century georgian period.
Boasting rich, dense, mahogany timbers, alongside a good untouched colour and patina, in combination with the subtle strung inlaid decoration to the edge of the top it has a real touch of class and exudes elegance.
The perfect size for an absolute host of spaces around the home, it is both beautiful and practical. It would work just as well alongside a sofa or library chair in the living room to place a drinks glass on top of, as it would in the drawing room with a lamp perched atop, or even in the bedroom as a bedside table.
As with all our items this table has been attended to in our worksops by our highly trained, skilled, traditional antique furniture...

French Vintner's Wine Tasting Table with Tilt-Top & Butterfly Wedge Support
Located in Atlanta, GA
A vintage French vintner's wine tasting table. This French wine tasting table has the typical tilt top, and butterfly wedge support. The table is nicely raised and supported by its trestle base and thickly carved legs. The wood is a beautiful light to medium toned brown with an excellent and rich patina, which we believe adds charm and history to this piece. As a space saving option, the table can be stored up against the wall with the top vertical. In this upright titled position, it stands 52 inches tall. The table measures 4 ft diameter, making a great size for breakfast area or wine cellar. This vintage table is a truly excellent example of a French wine tasting or vintners table...

French 19th Century Rosewood Lamp Table
Located in Bedfordshire, GB
A very good quality and very attractive mid 19th century french rosewood occasional lamp table, having superbly figured shaped tilting top, raised on elegant moulded column with fluted decoration, terminating with shaped tripod legs of gothic type design.
Quite a typical design dating to the mid 19th century from France these types of table can vary wildly in quality and construction. This is one of the better examples, constructed from good quality mahogany and clearly produced in a good cabinet makers workshop due to the longevity of its functionality and the fact it has aged so gracefully, remaining as fit for purpose as the day it was made.
Absolutely perfect for a whole host of spaces around the home, the functionality of this pretty little table is endless. Also depsite its relative bold styling it has enough subtlety to work in almost any interior, with any other style of furniture, including both ultra modern and extremely historic deisgn schemes.
If you haven't done so already then its worth having a look at the other variation of this table which we have in stock right now, it is pretty much identical in all ways, other than being constructed from mahogany, as opposed to rosewood. We think they would work fabulously together should one have a requirement for two similar occaisonal tables, but not neccessarily wish to spend the money, or have the required budget, to buy an a true pair of antique lamp...
