Meissen Mark

A very attractive Meissen 'Blue Onion' porcelain plate with 1815 marks and provenance.

The base is marked with the blue Meissen cross swords mark. These are offered in perfect condition with no damage or repairs and are ready to display.

This mark AR was introduced by Meissen in the 1st half of the 18 century around the same time as the cross swords mark was introduced.

The hand painted floral back and front with different floral bouquet cartouches with gilt handles and pedestal bases. Each one with the Meissen cross swards mark in blue under-glaze.

On the back from the base the underglaze blue sword mark Meissen in 1st choice. No damage. perfect condition.

Gilt to the rims and feet. Meissen marcolini marks to the underside of each.

There is a partial blue Meissen style mark present under the lady figure.
