About the Item

This sculptural and sophisticated pair of andirons were custom fabricated by artisans in New York State. Offering a vaguely figurative form, these brass andirons are composed of a bifurcated body that merges at its apex to form a spherical head. The piece sits on two sinuously curved feet that suggest stylized and abstracted ibis hooves. With their clean modernist lines and compellingly idiosyncratic silhouettes, these andirons would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary.
