This is an antique coal keeper. An English, copper and oak fireside store or log bin, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. Countryside appeal for the fireside, with hand beaten finish Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order Select oak shows fine grain interest and warm caramel hues Profusely detailed and textured copper presents bright tonality Braced lid adorned with a stylish Art Nouveau motif to the centre The lid remains upright upon its distinctive strap hinges Generously sized, clean interior, ideal for all fuel types Raised upon a quartet of shaped block feet with tapering toe This is a delightful antique coal keeper, with a dashing amber and caramel appearance. Ideal for the fireside. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
