About the Item

Festivo is a series of glass candlesticks from Iittala, designed by Timo Sarpaneva back in 1966. A total of 8 different heights were made that can be combined according to taste. The candlesticks have become a classic symbol of modern Finnish design. He is a master of materials such as glass, porcelain and cast iron. These stunning candlesticks have the look and feel of icy crystal and are defined by their signature rings. It is said that the Festivo candlestick was originally designed as a wine glass. The designer's idea was that an entire bottle of wine would fit in a single glass. When the basic parts of the glasses stood in the factory on their own, the idea came to use them as candlesticks - and so the prototype for a new classic was born. Only 3 heights are manufactured today. Sizes are for the largest candlestick.
