19th Century Bronze Sculpture Of A Lady Mantel Clock

About the Item

This is a French figural patinated and gilt bronze sculpture mantel clock of a lady. The elegant lady is seated over a chaise adorned with acanthus leaves, garland of fruits and a wind god mask. She is dressed with an 18th century dress adorned with bows and laces. She is holding a fan in her hand. The sculpture stands over a bronze pagoda top shaped base that is decorated with scrolls of flowers and urns. This base is supported by a rectangular dark brown wood pedestal supported by four scrolls feet. The round black grey dial case have black Roman numerals and clock hands. The clock come with a key to wind it up. In the back, the machinery is signed Etablissement, Pettit, 1932. The clock is working well.
