French 19th century Bronze with marble base mantel clock, pendule A 19th century French mantel clock with bronze putti on a brown, red, white and black marble base, with an ornament in the middle, raised on 4 feet. The putti beats the wine barrel with a chisel to open. The wine barrel is decorated with the branches of the grape plant. The dial of the timepiece is hand painted with garlands and the hands are gold plated. The marble has small chips at the bottom of the corner on the left. (photos) The clockwork of the pendule is working This can be viewed via the video that has been added to this listing. The winding key is present. The dimensions are 30 cm high, 20 cm wide and 11 cm deep. The weight is 4380 grams.
