Victorian Mahogany Cased French Striking Mantel Clock

About the Item

Mahogany mantel clock in a break arch case with brass columns to either side, brass inlay to the front and surmounted by four brass finials. Beautifully decorated brass bezel, enamel dial with Roman numerals and original ‘blued’ steel hands. Eight day French movement numbered 6251 with outside countwheel striking the hours and halves on a silvered bell, circa 1870.
