About the Item
The objects created by Irish ceramicist Simon Kidd (b.1993) represent a personal interpretation of his deep connection to the land of his birth. He works locally sourced materials into his clays and glazes, resulting in objects expressive of the beauty and historical legacy of Northern Ireland. In this stoneware piece he's incorporated crushed granite from County Down with a glaze made from County Antrim basalt.
