EYE Sculpture Maxi by Daniel Nikolovski

About the Item

EYE Sculpture Maxi by Daniel Nikolovski Dimensions: W 39 x D 23 x H 49 cm Also available in W 28 x D 16 x H 35 cm. Material: Glazed Ceramic All lamps could be wired for each country. Inspired by Yugoslavian monuments, EYE is a sculptural lighting object that comes in two versions. The mini version’s comes in bold lilac-blue porous ceramic glazing, rather than the maxi version comes in deep-pink glazing. The name EYE originates from the eye shaped extrusions that both the base and the top part of the lamp share. Two eye shape extrusions interact by being twisted at 90 degrees, one resting on top of the other. Warm light glows subtly in downward direction, creating an atmospheric ambience. Daniel Nikolovski (1992) is a Macedonian-born interior and furniture designer, currently living and working in Milan, Italy. His work is narrative-driven and is characterised by the use of sculptural geometries, altering proportions, expressed through rich range of materials such as: steel, resin, tortoiseshell acetate, boldly-patterned woods and fabrics used in the fashion industry. An alumni of Istituto Europeo di Design (BA) - Milan and a graduate of the Royal College of Art (MA) - London, some of his past work experiences include: Creative Direction and Design for the furniture brand KABINET, Verona (2019), Set Design for the exhibition Designing Craft / Crafting Design, Vienna (2017), Interior Design for NCDA, Hong Kong (2015). Throughout his career, he has presented his work at Salone del Mobile, FIAC (Paris), Paris Design Week, Offsite Online (NY) and Vienna Design Week. Daniel’s work has been published in Elle Decoration, Marie Claire Maison, AD and The New York Times.
