Pair of 19th C. French Ormolu and Champleve Enamel Vases with Foo Lion Handles
About the Item
A fine and Large Pair of 19th century Orientalist Motif French Ormolu and Champlevé Enamel Vases with Foo Lion Handles of Magnificent quality and condition, Attributed to F. Barbedienne. Each vase is beautifully decorated with orientalist motifs of flowers on a champlevé enamel red ground with black enamel bands. Either side of each vase is decorated with a foo lion mask handle which is ormolu, hand-chassed, and hand-chiseled. The vases are mounted on square open work ormolu bases.
