About the Item
Earthenware Fruit Bowl by Edvin Ollers for S:t Eriks, 1920s – Swedish Grace
An elegant and characteristic earthenware fruit bowl designed by Swedish artist Edvin Ollers (1888–1959) for S:t Eriks Lervarufabrik in Uppsala during the 1920s. This piece is a fine example of Swedish Grace – the Scandinavian interpretation of Art Deco, blending classical influences with Nordic simplicity.
The surface features a beautifully mottled glaze in muted shades of emerald green and graphite grey, lending the piece a sophisticated, antiqued character. The shallow, gently fluted bowl with rounded edges creates a sculptural and harmonious form.
Marked underneath with St Eriks Upsala, Sweden, model number 552, and the Ollers signature stamp.
A decorative collector’s item and a stylish addition to any home for those who appreciate the elegance of Swedish design history.
