About the Item

A rare find, an exquisite large set of 18 Saint Louis crystal roemer, wine goblets, in cobalt blue overlay and gold embellishments. These glasses combine all the skills of the master craftsmen and are entirely hand made: mouth blown, hand cut , hand engraved, decorated in 24 carat gold then fired and polished with an agate stone for a brilliant finish. Each piece is signed under the base with the etched St Louis trademark. Les cristalleries de Saint Louis " was founded over 400 years ago and has produced some the finest lead crystal in Europe, the company was acquired by Hermès, Paris in the 21st century.
