Pair of Large and Vibrant La Musa Serving Platters for Macy's

About the Item

Two stunning La Musa serving platters in an immaculate condition. In the style of De Simone. These are two large platters, the biggest has a diameter of 43.5 cm and the smaller one has a diameter 36 cm. The largest is 4.5 cm heigh and the smaller is 3 cm heigh. In the 40's Musa starts its production with handmade clay pottery; dishes, glasses and vases of the Vietri tradition are reinterpreted by the local workforce. In a few years a company founded on esteem and trust comes to life. The troupe of local artisans develop an extraordinary ability in the reproduction of traditional designs and a surprising creativity in the elaboration of new decorations. The names of the most loyal craftsmen still resound within the walls of our shops; names witnesses of an enviable team of artists for professionalism and spirit of collaboration. In the 60's the factory moved from Vietri to Rome, in the Cecchignola area, where the company headquarters are still located today. It is a modern complex, more suitable for productive development, which expresses at the best and at every stage the working process. Musa continues to collect orders from prestigious clients; from abroad the Kennedy family ordered destined to cover some rooms of the White House; also Queen Giuliana and then Beatrice of Holland decide to decorate their villa on Monte Argentario with their tiles.
