Dimensions 75x13x95 cm - inches 29.5x5.1x37.4 The English term Sloop denotes a type of sailing ship originating in England, a long hull, low on board, with a very sharp and relatively large hull, starboard bow, and with a deck. In shipbuilding of the period between the 17th and 19th centuries, the sloop was a sailing ship employed in England and North America. From the 18th century The British War Navy, used this type of vessel for discovery services because of their speed. While during World War I, this type of small warship of the British Navy was used for convoy escort and coastal surveillance. In today's usage it is a sailing sport boat.
