Handcrafted table lamp by Jossolini
About the Item
Handcrafted lamp base by Norwegian artist Johanne Birkeland. The lamp base is hand built in white stoneware clay, and hand decorated with black matte glaze.
The lamp comes with North American wiring and brass E26 socket.
The Norwegian artist, who works under the artist name Jossolini, uses traditional pottery techniques to make large ceramic pieces that challenge the strength of the material and the balance of her forms.
Her use of dots and lines is an exploration of how different patterns can influence the perception of a form.
Birkeland is a licensed journeyman since 2019, and all her pieces are designed and made by the artist, in her studio in Norway.
