About the Item
Pineapple-shaped table lamp, polychrome bronze.
No screen.
A pedestal (with simulated bricks on its fronts) elevates and highlights the pineapple that forms the body of this lamp. It is, however, a small vase with scale decoration to which leaves have been added to more closely resemble the fruit (something for which different patinas have also been used in the bronze), and not a pineapple itself. This mixture of classicist elements with other more contemporary naturalistic inspiration makes the work an excellent lamp for an interior.
