About the Item

Charles II laburnum cushion mirror frame of ovolo form, with well-figured laburnum oyster veneers within laburnum cross-cut mouldings. The mirror plate is of later date, but is a well aged plate. English, circa 1685 For a similar example from Streatham Castle, Durham, see fig.12, p.315, "The Shorter Dictionary of English Furniture" by Ralph Edwards.
