Set of 4 Rustic Rustic Dining Chairs in Hard Rock Maple Circa 1950s SIKES
About the Item
A set of FOUR American rustic side chairs crafted in hard rock maple. Their distinctive russet finish and chamfered wagon spoke legs are reminiscent of the early to mid 20th century designs of Cushman in Vermont or Wylie R. Dallas of Texas but we attribute these to the Sikes Chair Company of Buffalo, NY. Although these date to the early 1950s, they’re classically contemporary and feature the old world construction of a long gone era in furniture manufacturing, with through-tenon legs and dowel pins at each glue joint.
