About the Item

This settle sofa brings one into an earlier and more rustic period of time. Crafted from solid hand-carved oak wood, this sofa is handsome and sturdy, despite its age. The oak is darkened in tone, further indicating its age and use over the centuries. This sofa has been upholstered in brown and white cow's hide, giving it a distinct country aesthetic, which complements the rest of the piece nicely. The hide is further accented by brass tacks along the front edge, adding a flair of class to the overall rustic style. This is an antique piece and has some signs of age, most notably in the upholstery. The hide has a small tear, and the fur is balding in a few areas in a manner that is consistent with age and use. The hide upholstery may not be original to the piece, but is still vintage.
