A RARE AND UNUSUAL PAIR OF FLORENTINE ROSEWOOD COMMODES WITH THEIR ORIGINAL VERDE ANTICO MARBLE TOPS, CIRCA 1780. The shaped tops veneered with ancient pieces of verde antico marble on a pietra serena ground. The bases veneered in rosewood geometrically banded in kingwood, on a poplar carcase.
