About the Item

For your consideration is this fabulously stylish 1930's Art Deco cocktail cabinet. This cabinet dates from the 1930's and has all the bells and whistles you want from a cocktail cabinet. The upper interior has a mirrored backing with a drop down mirrored serving shelf . The chrome lemon squeezer which is always usually missing and the coloured bakelite cocktail sticks are all there and present. The lemon squeezer is in perfect unused condition. There are fretted out circles to hold glasses. The lower section of the cabinet opens to reveal a very generously sized shelving space for bottles. This area will take full size liquor bottles. Also bares the original Waring and Gillows label. If all this wasn't enough the cabinet itself is veneered in Satinwood, with heavily figured patterns and in a warm blonde colouring, the original chrome bar handles finish this piece to perfection. We've had the whole cabinet restored and so comes to you in great condition. Overall size of this cabinet is also very appealing, large enough to house all your requirements but not so big and rambling to take over a room. Bio Originally founded by Robert Gillow (1) (1703-1772), a Roman Catholic born in the Fylde area of Lancashire, England. Gillows’ reputation grew and their business thrived despite the American War of Independence (1775-1783). By the end of the 18th century they were one of the leading cabinet-makers in Britain. In 1897 a new partnership was formed – Waring & Gillow Ltd. For international customers this piece will be custom crated with door to door delivery.
