About the Item

A refined and sculptural coffee table designed and manufactured in Italy during the 1950s by La Permanente Mobili Cantù, one of the most prestigious consortium of furniture manufacturers of the post-war period. The table features: A circular top in warm-toned wood with visible grain and subtle black inlay along the edge. Three sharply angled, sculptural legs that converge into a small round shelf, perfect as a magazine holder or decorative support. Beautiful craftsmanship with attention to detail, emblematic of the collaborations between La Permanente Mobili Cantù and great masters of Italian design. This piece is a perfect representation of the balance between form and function that characterizes Italian modernism. Historical Provenance Originally commissioned in the early 1950s for a private residence in Milan, this coffee table was part of a custom interior designed by a renowned architect who frequently collaborated with La Permanente Mobili Cantù.
