About the Item

Lightweight and portable, stools were popular in Qing dynasty homes for their simplicity and convenience. This elegantly proportioned stool features an inset handwoven seat, providing textural contrast to the elmwood frame’s graceful openwork apron and thoughtful round legs. The lacquer finish, laboriously applied in countless layers, has aged gracefully with rich, time-honored character. Additional dimensions: Table apron to floor 14.5".
