Handcrafted Walnut & Oak End / Bedside Drawer Tables
About the Item
A pair of black walnut handcrafted end tables or nightstands.
Constructed from finest American black walnut with the inner dovetailed jointed drawer carcass in English Quartersawn Oak. The upper box is detailed with visible bold hand-cut dovetail jointing. A smooth light curve design is cut into the legs and follows along the facia. Designed by Sum furniture and handmade by highly skilled traditional craftsmen in England. Hand finished in durable natural oil.
Modernist design utilising traditional craftsmanship and fine timbers.
These can be made to custom dimensions if required - so please enquire for any quotations.
Also available in Prime English Quartersawn Oak or with Leather finger pulls.
We design bold and distinctive pieces of furniture – our main objective is combining the design alongside the natural beauty and properties of the raw materials.
These timbers and materials are very carefully chosen for each specific design - maintaining our focus on the benefits, visual impact and strengths of what we use.
Our regular use of English Quartersawn Oak is one case in point. It has been the beloved timber of fine furniture makers across the world for centuries. It is costly to produce but gives huge benefits and rewards such as its striking medullary rays and superb stability qualities.
By utilising these wonderful and naturally occurring features with our contemporary designs we aim to continue creating some very distinct, tactile and idiosyncratic pieces.
These are all completely handmade, in very small numbers, by our skilled craftspeople in England.
