Square Mid-Century Modern Chrome X-Base Glass Top Coffee Table after Baughman

Handsome square coffee table with a rectangular tube chrome X-base and 3/8 inch glass top. Unmarked but styled after Milo Baughman. Although, we do have the original sales receipt for this table from Tri-Mark Designs in Philadelphia dated January 17, 1966. The base is in awesome vintage condition with normal wear for its age. Unfortunately, although not seen at a distance, the glass has several chips on all edges, circa 1960s. I know. I know. I’ve mentioned Milo Baughman in association with this chrome table and so many things get misattributed to him. It’s been said recently it seems like everything chrome gets labeled as his. However, I’m not using it as an attribution but as a descriptor. Just like a few years ago everything was described as Eames Era. And, a few years before that I would have said this was in the style of Mies Van Der Rohe. Anyway…..This is a fabulous 1960s awesome square coffee table with a beautiful chrome X-base and glass top. The base is constructed of rectangular chrome tube that is made into two rectangular frames that intersect in the center to form the X-shaped base. The chrome base is in fabulous condition, but the glass shows signs of its years of use with little chips on all the edges. We do have the original invoice for it from Tri-Mark Designs in Philadelphia dated January 17, 1966. The best thing about this table is how versatile style-wise it is. It will be wonderful in your Mid-Century Modern designed home but equally at ease in your Industrial loft, rustic, Primitive or country home, and give a little spark of surprise to your traditional décor. Don’t hesitate. We know you love it! Make it yours. Handsome pair of square Mid-Century Modern to modern Parsons style side tables or end tables comprised of a rectangular chrome tube frame with a white painted cane and glass insert top. They are in wonderful vintage condition. We have given the cane insert a fresh coat of paint and chrome has normal wear for age but nothing outstanding. Please see photos, circa 1960s-1970s. When I saw this lovely pair of little side tables I knew I had to have them to offer to you. I know you have just the spot to place them. They are square and Parsons style with frames made of rectangular chrome tube which is nicely welded and polished. They have a white cane and glass insert for the top. I have seen these attributed to Milo Baughman, but I do not believe that to be true. However, they are somewhat in his style with the combination of the chrome and cane. No matter who designed or made this pair they are handsome and handy little end tables. Place them side by side as a small cocktail table or split them up. They are the perfect spot to set a drink while relaxing in your favorite chair or napping sofa...
