This is an antique flower display table. A Dutch, mahogany and inlaid fold-over gate leg console table, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1780. Captivating craftsmanship with exceptional colour and detail Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Select stocks beam with rich caramel hues and fine grain interest Beautifully inlaid with quality boxwood and apple Striking triangular form when folded, ideal for corner placement Central medallion presents a potted urn with sprouting foliage Further decorated with outer foliate motif, bordered with fine stringing Gracefully extends upon a pair of hinges to form a square profile Gate leg rotates from the centre to support the upper leaf Pair of oval foliate medallions accentuate the extended appearance Slender tapering legs graced with flowerhead motif and block pattern detail This is a superb antique flower display table, with a striking appearance and of useful fold-over nature. Crafted with a fine choice of timbers and inlays to great effect. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
