About the Item
This striking and materially exquisite Modernist Hand-Blown Murano Smoked Battuto Glass Side/End Table with Oil Rubbed Bronze Fittings is Custom for High Style Deco and originates from Italy during the 21st Century. Features a round smoked glass top surface, beautifully polished and fitted with a cylindrical bronze attachment in the center, beautifully mirroring the form of the piece and adding a subtle but striking functional detail. The support of the table is formed in frosted glass, beautifully proportioned and rounded and with a surface adorned with Battuto texturing, a technique requiring remarkable dexterity and skill, where organic grooves are carved into the surface of the glass while cold, achieving a lovely organic feel and three dimensional variation, catching the light and drawing the eye to the support. The piece is capped at the bottom with an oil rubbed bronze disk, protecting the glass and unifying this cohesive side table to the fitting in the center of the glass top. A stunningly fresh and modern piece fabricated custom for High Style Deco, this side/end table will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. In Excellent Condition. Finish and Scale options can be achieved custom upon request.
