About the Item

Side table 001 is a made to order design by Archive for Space, a multidisciplinary design practice founded in London in 2019. Side table 001 was designed to celebrate raw steel through exploring the material’s cyclical nature. Made from standard tube sizes and gauges, the entire piece is fully recyclable. The raw materials are untreated allowing the surfaces to develop a patina over time that tells the story of the piece. Each piece is handmade in Stoke-on-Trent, UK. The tables come in two heights shown in the last image each listed separately. The tables will show some signs of patina and surfaces marks already, which are innate to the material. Archive for Space is Arabella Maza and Stephen Maginn. They work across architecture, interiors, industrial design, installation and set design. Arabella was educated at The Architectural Association and Stephen was educated at The University of Edinburgh and Edinburgh College of Art. The studio also leads a design unit at The University of Cardiff entitled Archiving Place. Archive for Space adopts a unique approach to each project, drawing and synthesizing on an extensive archive of references and disciplines blending their research into a conscientious yet individual experience. They first met while working on a diverse range of projects at the late Sir Terence Conran’s architecture, interior design and product design studio, Conran and Partners.

Grace Prince Held Absence No.4 Side table - UK, 2025 - AP 1, Edition of 30
Located in London, GB
Hand-poured glass, polished stainless steel, metal and rubber. A pool of swirled hand-poured glass sits atop a dynamic, architectonic frame. Made by pouring molten glass directly from the kiln onto a metal plate, the cooler temperature triggers a rippling texture. The piece is part of Held Absence, Grace Prince’s largest furniture collection to date addressing a long-held fascination with absence and fragility. The pieces develop the designer’s free, gestural approach into six assemblages in bronze, steel and wood. Designed exclusively for Béton Brut, the works emerged from a period spent living in a traditional house just north of Kyoto. The collection is handmade to order in 12 weeks. Grace Prince (born in London, 1992) is a multidisciplinary designer based between Zürich, Milan and London. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, she worked as the assistant designer to Vincenzo De Cotiis...

Adah Side Table by Studio Anansi Dimensions: D41 x W41 x H49 cm Materials: Afircan Sapele, White Oak Custom woods available. Please contact us. Studio ANANSI, founded by Evan Jerry in 2018, represents a reection on modernity with a nod to the Afrocentric elements that have been missed or masked in contemporary design. Evan’s Caribbean heritage and global education is pronounced in the studio's collections, with the name ANANSI itself being taken from West African and West Indian folklore. The beloved and omniscient character of Anansi is a mythical character known in many fables to be a god of knowledge and storytelling. Anansi is renowned for nding transformative ways of turning relative weakness into strength and virtue. Being raised in Canada, the importance of an ancestral character like this who protects history and knowledge became an important inuence on Evan. In turn, the practice of representation and transformation becomes evident in what is produced through his vision. Evan and Studio ANANSI oer a clever and confronting understanding of all our connections to prologue through sculptural, and architectural storytelling.
