Spanish Moorish Hexagonal Wooden Table or Stand, 1950s
About the Item
Superb Moorish style marquetry side table or Taboret with hexagonal top. Spain, Andalusia, 1950s.
Hexagonal end table with exquisite work of marquetry inlay of walnut, ebony, root wood and other precious wood composing a geometric design. The top is surrounded by beautiful decorative patterns and it is detailed by Arabic calligraphy writing.
The top stands up on a base with 6 carved legs joined between them by a Moorish star shape stretcher.
This table is in a very good condition considering its age.
Perfect to be used as tea or coffee table / side or end table / drinks table. Use it also as a pedestal to display a glass vase or near a sofa as occasional table.
