Jersey Road, London
Jersey Road is the deeply personal renovation of co-principal Tanya Selway’s Edwardian family home in West London. The 1,600-square-foot residence, shared with her husband and two young daughters, has been reimagined as a living canvas that celebrates creative expression and sentimental materials.
Throughout the home, Selway’s hand-painted murals, found in her daughters’ bedrooms and other spaces, reflect her painterly background and experimental spirit. In the powder room, a playful mural of limbs and gestures by artist Annelie Fawke, paired with her custom ceramic lighting, brings a sense of whimsy and warmth.
Repurposed heirlooms and salvaged materials layer the design with meaning: scrap leather and suede panel cabinetry, marble tiles from Selway’s childhood home frame the skylit clawfoot tub, and fabrics from her mother’s 1970s wedding dress are reimagined as bedding.
Modern updates include a new primary suite and studio, stainless steel kitchen counters, and a cherry-hued stone backsplash. Blending vibrant art, vintage furnishings, and tactile contrasts, Stelly Selway transforms Jersey Road into an evolving portrait of family and creativity—where memory and material craft intertwine to tell an intimate story of home.
