How can you tell if Versace sunglasses are real?

1 Answer
To tell if Versace sunglasses are real, first check the logo. On genuine sunglasses, you'll typically find it smoothly engraved on the outside of the frames. Examine the logo under a magnifying glass and compare it with the official logo. If you notice any discrepancies, the sunglasses are unlikely to be genuine. Next, look at the markings on the inside of the arms. Real Versace sunglasses should display style numbers, the Versace wordmark in the correct font and the words "Made in Italy." Newer pieces will also show the letters "CE." All markings should be engraved with even spacing between the characters. Jumbled, misaligned or missing markings may indicate a replica. Finally, ensure that the hardware at the temples and any nosepieces are solid, strong and free of flaws, such as glue markings. When in doubt, have a certified appraiser or knowledgeable dealer assess your eyewear. Shop a collection of Versace sunglasses on 1stDibs.
