What is the famous dawn painting?
1 Answer

There is actually more than one famous dawn painting. One well-known work depicting the early morning hours is Claude Monet's Impression, Sunrise. This work impacted the 19th-century art world so much that it is sometimes cited as inspiring the name of the Impressionist movement. Other notable painted depictions of dawn include Albert Bierstadt's Sunrise on the Matterhorn; Camille Pissaro's Sunrise Over the Fields, Eragny; and Frederic Edwin Church's Above the Clouds at Sunrise.
