We are pleased to present this event, which will see the exclusive world premiere of Anna Pennati's works entitled The Black Series, that the artist reserved exclusively for 1stDibs collectors.
These works embrace the essence of design and were therefore exhibited during the "Fuorisalone - Milano Design Week 2022" at Almach Art Gallery in Italy and then at Tiers Gallery in Tokyo Omotesando
The works are the result of a long research that Anna Pennati has been carrying out for many years towards the expression of what can be defined as the archetype of forms and ideas.
Mixed media on paper, with collage and ink, then applied on canvas, constitute the Black Series: from an intense black background, which attract and hypnotize us, leading to isolate ourselves from our surroundings, white shapes appear, representing objects from distant worlds, but that we find in our unconscious, which then communicates with them, perceiving their sounds and vibrations, creating a unique fantastic harmony.
