Nell'ampia produzione del maestro Tozzi si trovano molti disegni, come questo qui presentato, eseguiti con tecniche diverse (inchiostro, pastello, matita, sanguigna), dedicati alla figura umana: nel suo stile asciutto e stilizzato, Mario Tozzi tratteggia figurine stilizzate, raffinate nella loro geometria silenziosa e discreta, favorita dall'assenza del colore, che fa risaltare le forme sulla carta bianca
Anche nella produzione pittorica i soggetti preferiti di Mario Tozzi sono, classicamente, le figure e le nature morte, ma sia le figure che le nature morte sono un insieme di elementi geometrici solidi, la sfera, il cilindro, il cono, etc. I corpi sono elementari, essenziali nelle linee e nei particolari, possenti, statuari, composti da solidi appena modellati, mentre le nature morte sono una celebrazione della geometria euclidea come le brocche, le ciotole, i fiaschi che sono paradigmi di volumetria e di rigore geometrico. Le composizioni di Mario Tozzi risentono del Cubismo per certi tagli, della Metafisica per certi inserimenti architettonici e dell'Astrattismo per l'inserimento di figure geometriche.
